Upper Delaware Scenic Byway to Host Talk on Japanese Knotweed Study at Aug. 24 Meeting
NARROWSBURG – The August 24 monthly meeting of the Upper Delaware Scenic Byway Committee will begin with a presentation on “Knotweed: A Tough Love” by Steven Schwartz, a project consultant to Friends of the Upper Delaware River, Inc. (FUDR), National Park Service Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River Biologist Jessica Newbern, and FUDR Executive Director Jeff Skelding.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the 211 Bridge St., Narrowsburg, NY office of the Upper Delaware Council. Face masks and social distancing are required.
Upper Delaware Scenic Byway, Inc. 4th Monday meetings are open to the public.
The non-profit organization is dedicated to enhancing and promoting the communities, economy, natural resources, and highway safety associated with the State-designated byway route which runs along the majority of NYS Route 97 from Hancock to Port Jervis through Delaware, Sullivan, and Orange Counties.
