Reentry Coalition Information Session and BBQ

PIKE COUNTY - The Pike County Reentry Coalition was formed earlier this year to help reduce recidivism locally by supporting returning citizens as they transition to their communities after incarceration.

Members of the Reentry Coalition include private citizens, medical and therapeutic professionals, faith communities, employers, educators, non-profit agencies, and government entities interested in facilitating the transition of PCCF inmates back into the community by identifying needs and making referrals to those agencies able to help individuals attain success and independence. New members are always welcome.

The event is free and open to the public. It will include opening remarks and a coalition update by Pike County Commissioner Steve Guccini and PCCF volunteer Hampton Morgan of Choosing Integrity. PCCF Warden Craig Lowe and Assistant Wardens Robert McLaughlin and Jonathan Romance will man the barbeque grill.

The information session and complimentary barbeque will e Monday, October 7, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Pike County Correctional Facility (PCCF)
