Delaware Highlands Conservancy Announces “Confluence: Land, Water, and Wildlife” Photo Contest Winne

Upper Delaware River Region, NY and PA – Through summer 2019, the Delaware Highlands Conservancy held its second annual photo contest, "Confluence: Land, Water, and Wildlife." The contest invited local photographers to capture striking nature-inspired photos from the Upper Delaware River region in four categories: landscape, wildlife, macro and water.

The Conservancy is pleased to announce the winners of the juried contest. In the landscape category, winner – Kathe Williams; runners up – Stanford Overton and Laurie Lobbregt. Wildlife category, winner – Dennis Romano; runners up – Pat Ashley, Martha Tully, and Michael Forester Rothbart. Water category, winner – Tom Bugaj; runners up – Liz DiMenno and Jodi Hancock. Macro category, winner – Kathe Williams; runners up – Kathleen Colligan and Julie Kulak. The People’s Choice winner is Jeffrey Sidle, and the Conservancy Staff Pick is Nick Verducci.

The ARTery Gallery in Milford will host the Conservancy from November 9 until December 9 in an exhibition featuring the winning photographs alongside artwork created by ARTery member artists.

An opening reception, open to the public, will be held Saturday, November 9, 5pm to 8pm. At the reception, Conservancy staff will be on hand to talk about their land protection work and educational programming and will be available to answer any questions.

The ARTery Gallery is located at 210 Broad Street, Milford, (570) 296 - 1234. Hours through December are Mondays, 11am-3pm, Thursday through Sunday, 11am-6pm.
