D&H Canal 11/2 Bus Tour Nearing Capacity

MINISINK FORD ­– Bus seats are quickly filling up for the Nov. 2 tour of the Delaware & Hudson Canal from Roebling’s Delaware Aqueduct to Port Jervis.


Advance reservations are required. Please send guest information and payment of $55 per person to 119 Mandy’s Road, Westtown, NY 10998. Make checks payable to “D&H Conservancy” with a memo notation of “Nov. 2 Bus Tour.”

The ticket price includes round-trip motor coach transportation with stops at five D&H Canal sites, morning snacks, lunch at Foundry42+ in Port Jervis, and showing of a DHTHC video, “The Delaware & Hudson Canal Co.: Its History and Legacy” on the way back which provides historical details about the Minisink Ford to Port Jervis segment.


The tour will begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at approximately 3 p.m.

Park at the Town of Highland River Access located 0.7 miles south of the Roebling Bridge along the New York State Route 97 Upper Delaware Scenic Byway.


Cancellations made after October 25 will not be refunded. Once the 44 seats fill to capacity, a waiting list will be created for a future tour.
